The Pink Winter is coming!

¡Ya lo se! es ya tarde… ¿pero como no iba a hablar del tema como buena fashionista que soy? este invierno llega una moda que ¡me apasiona! y seguro que a muchas de vosotros también. Los abrigos en tonos paste y, sobre todo, ¡rosas! He hecho una gran búsqueda para ver cuales son aquellos que mas me gustan y al final, de casualidad, me he comprado uno de Betty Jackson. Black (una diseñadora inglesa) hecho de lana y cachemir ¡que tiene una pinta buenísima! (estoy todavía esperando el envío de Debenhams)

He elegido ese porque, como podéis ver en la foto, es simple y sin adornos por lo que me combina con todo y no es muy marcado y así no pasa de moda y el precio es bueno, pero sinceramente hay otros que también me tenían loca como el modelo de French Connection o el maravilloso de Rochas.

Como os decía hice una gran búsqueda así que os voy añadir otros que que creo que son monos también, por si os interesan.

I know! it´s late…But how am I going to avoid the theme if I am so interested in fashion? this winter a new trend is making furor! and I love it! and I am sure that a lot of you also do. The pastel tones coats and, more over, the pink ones! I have made a huge research to see the ones that I lie the most and finally, casualty, I have bought one of Betty Jackson. Black (a english designer), made of wool and cachermir, that looks awesome! (I am still waiting for the delivery of Debenhams.)

I have chosen this one because, as you can see in the picture, is simple without ornaments so I can wear it with almost everything and the prize was good. But sincerely there were others that made go crazy as the French Connection, that I thought would make me more body volume than I really have, and the marvelous Rochas one.

As I told you my research was intense so I am going to add some others I think are also cute, just in case you are interested.

Correr por una buena causa es algo que nunca me había planteado hasta hace poco cuando en mi grupo de amigos una de ellas nos dijo de participar en una carrera solidaria organizada por el BBVA. Yo con menos fondo que una tortuga y mas vaga que un lirón ni me lo plantee hasta que vi unas zapatillas que ¡con ellas correría hasta el infinito y mas allá! Es muy posible que a muchos os parezcan horteras, cantosas y otras muchas cosas pero a mi me parecen las zapatillas mas chulas del mundo ¿sabéis ya de cual hablo? De las Ascics Noosa Tri 8. Lo que mas me gusta de ellas es que no sólo me encanta el diseño sino que además Son comodisimas. Os animo a que las busquéis y os las probéis porque a partir de ese momento os aseguro que ¡no os vais a querer separar de ellas!

Running for a good reason es something that I had never planned until a little while when a friend of mine proposed to the group to participate in a benefic run organised by BBVA. Me with a very small long-distance running capacity and more lazy than a dormouse, I didn´t even think about the idea until I saw some trainers that with them I would run until the infinity and further! It is very possible that to some of you they seem tasteless or very flashy but to me they are the coolest in the world. Do you know about which ones I am talking? The Ascics Noosa Tri 8. What I like most is that not only the design is so great but they are also very comfortable. I recommend you to find them and try them on because I assure you that your are not going to want to be separated from them!

Union Makes Fashion Strength!

No hay nada que me guste más que recibir noticias emocionantes por la mañana porque así empiezo el día con buen pie.  Y fue justo eso lo que me paso ayer cuando se me ocurrió chequear mi e-mail a primera hora en el trabajo (pssss es un secreto) y tenía esperándome en la bandeja de entrada un correo de Loewe. Esta conocida marca española que seguro todos conocéis, ¡incluyendo a los extranjeros!, siempre se reinventa y lanza colecciones inesperadas y atractivas. Por eso os comenta que estaba entusiasmada, porque por motivo de los 400 años de “intercambios culturales” (cito sus propias palabras) entre España y Japón han realizado una colección, con las palabras mágicas edición limitada, con la diseñadora  Junya Waranabe (Comme des Garçons). Después de verla he de reconocer que es perfecta para esta temporada porque hacen de cada piezas una pequeña mezcla de ¡todo lo que se lleva esta temporada! Cuero y vaquero con un estilo Punk-British… Estoy segura de que estaréis de acuerdo conmigo cuando la veáis. 

There is anything that I like most that receiving amazing news in the morning because is a good way to start happy a new day. And that was exactly what happened yesterday when I decided to check my e-mail first hour while working (psss is a secret) and I had waiting for me to read it in my inbox a new mail of Loewe. This famous Spanish brand that I am sure you all know, including the foreigners!, it is always reinventing and launching new unexpected and attractive collections. For this I was telling you that I was really excited, because with the excuse of 400 years of “cultural exchange” (textual word of the brand) between Spain and Japan they had made a collection, with the magic words limited edition, with the designer Junya Waranabe (Comme des Garçons) After seeing it I must recognize that is perfect for this season because they make with each piece a little mix of all what is hot this season! Leather and jeans with a Punk-British…I am sure you will agree when you see it.

P.D. Seguro que no estáis muy puestos en la música japonesa, ¡yo tampoco eh! (aunque si me va mucho el K-POP) el caso es que mi novio hace unos meses me dedico una canción en mi tablero de Facebook de Shugo Tokumaru – Katachi y me encantó, espero que os guste a vosotros también.

Mamma Mia What a Dress!

En la tierra en la que se desarrolla la preciosa película de Mama Mía, que si no habéis visto os recomiendo porque es muy divertida, viene esta diseñadora de moda que me encanta. ¡Ya me gustaría tener alguno de sus vestidos pero, de momento, se me van de presupuesto. Seguro que ya os estáis preguntando de quien hablo así que no os voy a hacer esperar más, es ¡Mary Katrantzou!. No recuerdo bien a quien vi por primera vez luciendo uno de diseños pero desde entones la lista de celebrities que los llevan no ha hecho más que crecer igual que mi admiración por ella.

Es bastante fácil de reconocer por sus vivos y coloridos estampados que iluminan la sala cuando alguna afortunada decide apostar por ella en un evento. Puede que de nombre no os suene, pero seguro que recordáis la colaboración que hizo con Longchamp, transformando alguno de sus modelos más conocidos como el Pliage Bag. En fin, como siempre os dejo imágenes para tentar un poquito e intentar añadir algún que otro fan nuevo a su lista.

In the land where the amazing film Mamma Mia took place, if you haven´t seen it I truly recommend it because it is really fun, was born this fashion designer that I like. I would love to have one of her dresses! But, for now, it is a bit out of my budget…I am sure you are already wondering who she is so I am not making you wait anymore, is Mary Katrantzou!. I don´t really remember who was the first person that I saw wearing one of her designs but since that moment till now the number of celebrities that wears them is increasing really fast so as my admiration for her.

It is pretty easy to recognize her creations for the vivid and colorful patterns that illuminates the room when some lucky lady decides to bet for her in an event. Maybe you don´t know her by name but I am sure you remember the collaboration she made with Longchamp, transforming some of their iconic models like the Pliage Bag. Anyway, as always I am going to leave some pictures to tempt you and try to add some new fans to her list!

Extra extra! siempre me ha encantado decir eso y mas ¡cuando hago un nuevo descubrimiento! Como soy una pequeña adicta a las compras, o a las no compras ya que miro mas que compro, hoy he hecho mi rutinaria visita por Ebay, buscando posibles víctimas de mi tarjeta, y he dado con la New Talent Shop. Esta tienda efímera ha sido creada con motivo de la próxima Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week de Madrid. ¿Echamos un vistazo? Se trata de una colección de 20 piezas inéditas que representan la imagen de cada uno de los diseñadores que ha participado en esta iniciativa. Sólo se van a vender durante este mes de septiembre así que si os queréis hacer con una, pinchad aquí.

Extra extra! I have always loved saying that and even more if I make a discovery! How I am a little shopping addict, or no shopping because I look more than buy, today I have made my routinely visit to Ebay, searching for new possible victims of my credit card, and I have found the New Talent Shop. This ephemeral shop has been created because of the coming Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week of Madrid. Let´s take a look! It is a 20 pieces collection that represents the image of each one of the designers that have participated in this initiative. Si os queréis evadir un rato y disfrutar de una fantasía dulce y onírica, ¡tenéis que ver su web!. Como ya os comenté hace tiempo me compre un cuarderno de Fashionary y aproveche para hacer fan de su pagina en Facebook. De vez en cuando por curiosidad voy mirando lo que los diseñadores van colgando y así fue como conocí a Valerie Ann Chua. Realmente disfruto viendo sus ilustraciones por el color pálido de los colores que usa y la delicadeza de las chicas a las que pinta, casi me relaja mirarlas.

As I have already told you, some time ago I bought a Fashionary notebook and I took the opportunity to become a fan of their Facebook page. From time to time I like to look what new designers upload and this is how I found out about Valerie Ann Chua. I really enjoy seen her illustrations because of the pale colors and the delicacy of the girl she paints, is kind of relaxing for me looking at them.

Awsome! palabra inglesa que ¡me encanta! redonda y expresiva que justo me vino a la mente cuando pasé hace un par de días por delante del escaparate de Bimba y Lola (marca que ahora está triunfando también en Londres). Ahí a la vista de todos había unos de los zapatos de su nueva temporada no apto para discretas porque se ven a millones de kilómetros!! ¿A que os sentís intrigados de ver como son? Pues os diré que me estoy conteniendo porque son 270€ de zapatos! pero como tenga un evento y encuentre el vestido perfecto….Ah! por cierto, para los que sois de fuera de España, os dejo su web por si queréis ver otras cositas de la marca. Os enseño además un para de collares que me compré en rebajas que me encantan!

The Gold Dagger

Si me hubieran dicho que alguna vez llevaría una daga colgando del cuello, ¡nunca lo habría creído! hasta que vi una foto, buscando mas Street Style para mi Pinterest, que me encantó. Ya no es sólo la gracia que me hizo el toque del pelo y los anillos sino además la combinación de las dagas con las piedras de colores que me pareció monísima. Y como ya habréis adivinado soy una cabezota de narices por lo que me puse a buscar la diseñadora hasta que finalmente di  con LeiVanKash (vaya nombre mas raro ¿verdad?)

If someone would have told me that someday I would bring a dagger hugging from my neck, I would have never believe it! until I saw a picture, searching for more to add to my Pinterest, that I really loved. No only because I found funny the hair color touch and the rings but also because of the combination with color stones that I thought was really cute. How I am so pig-headed, (sorry if the expression is wrong, you know word reference) I decided to investigate until I finally discover LeiVanKash (what a weird name, right?)

My Lovely Ear Piercing

Ultimamente que mi vida está un poco patas arriba me sentía algo rebelde y un día me dio por hacer algo loco, como una adolescente…,y despues de pensar que podría hacer, finalmente ¡me hice un piercing! Y no uno cualquiera sino en el trago, en la oreja. Y en parte la culpable de esta locura fue una foto que vi por Internet buscando nuevas imágenes para mi Pinterest. El caso es que con esta imagen en mente me fui directa a un estudio a hacerme el pendiente, tonta de mi pensando que iba a encontrar esos pendientes super fácil, y ¡cuatro días de búsqueda non-stop me costó!! pero ¡por fin lo conseguí!!!.

Resulta que en NY y concretamente en Greenwich Village (Manhattan) se encuentra el pequeño universo de Maria Tash, la creadora de una línea de Body Jewelry ¡preciosa! y con toques étnicos. Sus piezas están hechas en oro blanco y amarillo y con piedras preciosas como el diamante, zafiros, ópalos, etc. ¡Son una pasada ya lo veréis! Y echad un ojo a su historía porque es un “subidón” ver como la gente cambia su vida siguiendo sus sueños y ambiciones.

Nowadays that my life seems to be a little upside down, I felt the necessity of doing something rebel, like a teen…, and after thinking what should I do I finally got a piercing! but not any ordinary one but in the tragus part of the ear. Somehow part of the guilty of this crazy act was a picture I saw on Internet searching for new images for my Pinterest. The thing is that with this image in my mind I went directly to a piercing studio in order to make me the ear hole, silly me thinking that I was going to find this earrings easily, and 4 days non-stop took me to find them, but I finally did it!!!

In NY and more concrete in Greenwich Village (Manhattan) it is located the little universe of María Tash the creator and designer of a fabulous Body Jewelry line and with an ethnic touch. Her pieces are made with white and yellow gold with precious or semiprecious stones like diamonds, sapphires, opals, etc. They are so cool you will see! And take a look of her history because is pretty cool to see how people changes their lives following their dreams and ambitions.

¡Quiero ser una princesa Disney! fue el primer pensamiento que tuve el otro día cuando me enteré de que Harrod’s y Christies van a hacer un evento sacado de un sueño. ¿Os imagináis llevar un vestido diseñado por un genio de la moda como Oscar de la Renta, Cavalli, Valentino o Elie Saab? pues si a eso le añadimos que además están inspirados en las bellas princesas Disney, ¡alucináis! ¿verdad?. Harrods hasta el mes de noviembre va a exponer estas encantadoras obras de arte en sus instalaciones hasta que sean llevadas, en noviembre a la famosa subasta Christies para que unas pocas afortunadas se hagan con ellos. Lo mas bonito de esta iniciativa es que el dinero que ganen irá directamente al hospital infantil Great Ormond Street. ¡Que contentas se sentirían estas princesas si supieran que sus vestidos servirán de ayuda a tantos niños. 

I want to be a Disney princess! was my first thought when the other day I found out about and event, almost taken from a dream, that Harrod´s in collaboration with Christies is going to make. Do you imagine wearing a dress designed by a fashion genius like Oscar de la Renta, Cavalli, Valentino or Elie Saab? and if you add that they are inspired in the beautiful Disney Princess, don´t you hallucinate, right? Harrods, until november is going to show this charming artworks in its installation until the day they will be brought to the famous Christies auction where a few lucky ladies can buy them. The cutest thing, is that the money earn in this initiative will go directly to Great Ormond Street Hospital. How happy will be these princess if the knew that their dresses are going to be so helpful to so many kids!
